Following the success of last year’s inaugural UK Dairy Day at the International Centre, Telford the event organisers along with Harrison & Hetherington have added an All Breeds Elite Dairy Sale featuring Britain’s best.

30 world class lots will go under the hammer and they include National Grand Champions, All Britain Winners, Royal Champions, first time opportunities, show winning heifers and all are blessed with impeccable pedigrees.

The Red Ribbon sale will take place following the National Holstein Show within the International Centre, Telford on Wednesday 16th September 2015.

Three of the headline lots are travelling from Northern Ireland and have already attracted International interest.

The Mclean family from Bushmills owners of the highly regarded Priestland herd are selling the only daughter of this year Mclaron’s Dairy Cow Championship winner. Marleycote Princess Jill 31 stormed to victory at this year’s prestigious event, she was the first Dairy Shorthorn to ever win the McLaron’s Championship and is regarded by many as one of the best Dairy Shorthorns in the world today.

This amazing young cow has twice produced over 11,000kgs at 4.6% butterfat and 3.5% protein her only daughter by Prides Phrophet sells.

The only Ayrshire to feature in this high calibre sale has been consigned by Sam Wadsworth from Lisburn. Glenwood Dreamer Irene is a unique Ayrshire heifer bred from six generations of pure Ayrshire cows.

Her dam was recently awarded Champion Cow in Northern Ireland Ayrshire Herd Competition judged by international renowned Duncan Hunter.

The UK’s Holstein PLI charts have in recent years been dominated by the Froukje family developed by the Prehen and Mostragee herds.

Tommy Henry owner of the Mostragee herd near Ballymoney is offering a stylish Bombero daughter and is the highest index heifer to sell in the sale.

Her dam is an International Bull Mother and is currently one of the UK’s highest PLI cows with a PLI of £540.

Bull contracts are expected to be offered with this lot.

All of the lots in the sale have been carefully selected and include the 2014 All Britain winner Sterndale Atwood Noel VG89, the Brown Swiss Grand Champion from this year’s Royal Welsh, Elite WR Lovely VG89, the first daughter from MS Atless Goldwyn Ariels to sell in Europe, Nobold TLC Supersire Athena and Bluegrass Vindications Harp VG 88 2yr, probably the best milking Jersey to ever sell in the UK.

The Red Ribbon sale will take place following the National Holstein Show within the International Centre, Telford.
