The Ulster Poultry Federation Championship Show will be held at Slemish Hall, Ballymena Show grounds, Ballymena, on 6th February 2016.

Colin Clark from Norfolk, England has been confirmed as Championship judge and will be supported by Jed Dwight from Sussex, Colin Gullon from North Yorkshire, Tom Buck from Norfolk, Nobby Ward from Bedfordshire, George Meekin from Manchester and local man John Wightman.

The show will be hosting breed regional shows and special awards for Booted Bantam, Belgian, Buff Orpington, German Langshan, Hamburg, Leghorn, Minorca, Orpington, Pekin, Plymouth Rock, Rhode Island Red, Rosecomb, Russian Orloff, Sebright, Serama, Sebright, Sussex, Welsummer and the Northern Ireland Game Fowl Club.

Chairman Neal Adams commented: “We are expecting a bumper entry this year, so please get your entries in early to avoid disappointment.

“I am also pleased to have enquiries from exhibitors in England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

“There will be over 400 classes for turkeys, geese, ducks, poultry and eggs. With over 40 cups and prizes for section winners it will be the highlight of the show season in Ireland.”
