Charollais sheep breeders were treated to a super display of sheep at their annual trimming and stockjudging event at the farm of Robert and Gary Scott, Newtownstewart.

Jonathan Aiken and William McAllister were on hand to share their skills at trimming with new members, making it all look very simple.

Master judge for the stockjudging was national chairman, David Mawhinney, and as usual the competition generated a lot of discussion.

The winner was Omagh breeder John Graham with full marks, taking second place was Ronnie Scott and third resulted in a tie between Wesley Henderson and Alan Crockett.

Taking first place in the junior section was Sophie McAllister.

The club is very grateful to Taggart Jack Farm Supplies, Ardstraw, for providing the prizes.

Members enjoyed a sumptuous barbecue provided by the Scott family. Chairman William McAllister thanked everyone for coming especially all those new members, Taggart Jack Farm Supplies for their generous sponsorship and the Scott family for their hospitality. He wished everyone well in the forthcoming premier sale which will be held on Monday, 27th July in Dungannon Market.
