Leading Northern Ireland wind energy company, Simple Power, is proud to once again sponsor the Unsung Hero Award this year in the 2015 Farming Life and Danske Bank awards.

The medium scale wind energy company works in partnership with farmers and landowners across Northern Ireland to harvest wind energy and participate in renewable energy generation, boosting farming incomes and providing an additional ‘crop’ for farms and rural communities.

Simple Power’s approach takes the risk away from the farmers by handling the whole process, from site assessment and planning through to construction and grid connection.

This process ultimately leads to the landowner receiving a guaranteed income for a minimum of 20 years.

Simple Power chief executive Philip Rainey commented: “We are delighted, as well as extremely proud, to be again supporting The Farming Life Awards and The Unsung Hero category this year.

“We believe the Awards are an excellent opportunity to recognise, reward and honour the many talented people within the farming industry with whom we work so closely.

“The Unsung Hero Award is important to us as it shines a much-needed spotlight on individuals whose exceptional efforts are helping to make Northern Ireland’s farming community what it is today.”

In addition to the 2015 Farming Life Awards, Simple Power actively supports the farming community via key partnerships with Rural Support, the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster and the Farm Safety Partnership.
