Northern Ireland wind energy company, Simple Power, will be exhibiting at this year’s Balmoral Show, taking place from 13th-15th May 2015 at Balmoral Park, Lisburn, within the Sustainable Village; a new addition to the Show in 2015.

The Sustainable Village includes a cluster of exhibitors showcasing innovative products, materials, ideas and information for anyone interested in harnessing clean energy, reflecting the growing interest from the farming and agricultural community in renewables.

Simple Power will be demonstrating how wind power is helping local farmers across Northern Ireland diversify and supplement their income with an additional ‘crop’ in the form of a single wind turbine that feeds directly into the electricity grid.

The leading local company will be displaying case studies of farmers who have already benefitted from wind energy. For these farmers, a partnership with Simple Power has generated an additional income stream from wind energy, which in turn has improved the sustainability of their farm businesses.

With last year’s event drawing in excess of 87,000 visitors, Simple Power’s Chief Executive, Philip Rainey, is looking forward to a busy Show.

“Balmoral Show is the defining event in the farming and agricultural community calendar so we are looking forward to exhibiting at this iconic Show. We are delighted to be part of the newly launched Sustainable Village which we believe is a great addition to the Show this year and testimony to the rising interest and growth in renewable energy across Northern Ireland.

“I strongly encourage farmers who are interested in renewable energy to visit us at Stand 28 in The Sustainable Village and speak to our experienced team to find out how they can boost their farming income through the development of a single wind turbine.”

The Simple Power team will be located at Stand 28 within The Sustainable Village at Balmoral Show 2015 and will be available to talk to landowners interested in diversifying into wind energy.
