An entry of 620 store cattle at Markethill on Saturday 27th February sold in a steady trade, however the plainest stock eased slightly.

HEIFERS: The 220 store heifers sold readily and included several pens of finished heifers. Forward heifers to £205 for 564k at £115 followed by £191 for 630k at £1200. Main demand from £175 to £186 per 100 kilos. Top price £1240 for 686k. Good quality middleweights from £185 to £214 for 430k at £920. Second quality heifers sold to £160 to £175 per 100 kilos.
