Steady trade for cattle at Ballymena

An entry of 60 stores in Ballymena on Tuesday resulted in a steady trade. Bullocks sold to 202p and £500 over for a Sim 490kg at £990 presented by a local farmer.

An entry of 1713 sheep in Ballymena on Wednesday resulted in a better trade. Fat hoggets sold to 337p for a pen of 4 Texels 23kg at £77.50 offered by Ian Montgomery, Glenwherry and to a top per head of £83.50 for a pen of 10 x 29kg from G Small, Randalstown. Fat ewes sold to £70.
