Steady trade for cattle at Markethill

An entry of 600 store cattle, weanlings and sucklers at Markethill on Saturday 5th November sold in a steady trade throughout the rings.

BULLOCKS

The 180 store bullocks continued to sell in a very firm trade. Forward bullocks sold to £212 for a 566k Angus at £1200. Top price £1315 for a 676k Angus at £195 per 100 kilos. Main demand from £185 to £210 per 100 kilos. Good quality middleweight bullocks sold to £229 per 100 kilos for 384k at £880 followed by £228 for 424k at £965. All good quality middleweights from £200 to £223 per 100 kilos. Friesian bullocks sold up to £166 per 100 kilos 530k at £880 with a top price of £925 for 598k at £155 per 100 kilos.
