The Northern Ireland Branch of the Suffolk Sheep Society celebrated another successful year with their annual dinner dance and presentation of awards at the Tannery in Moira.

Members of the NI Branch once again made their mark at home and abroad during 2015 and that was reflected in the glittering array of prizes that were presented on the night.

Special guests included Ron Greig, chairman of the Suffolk Sheep Society, Jimmy Screene, chairman of the South of Ireland Branch, and Alfie and Elaine Shaw, Agri Images.

During their addresses they thanked the NI Branch for their kind invitation and wished them every success in the future. Both noted that Northern Ireland Branch members continued to lead the way in promoting and developing the breed and encouraged members to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the Suffolk remained fit for purpose in the modern era.

Chairman of the NI Branch Lesley Liggett reviewed the many highlights and successes of the past year before his wife, Michelle, made the presentations.

A fundraising raffle was held on the night.
