The John Dennison Lifetime Achievement Award is returning to Borderway UK Dairy Expo, held in Carlisle, for the third year running.

This award is in memory of the life time industry contribution made by Cumbrian dairy farmer and highly regarded breeder John Dennison.

The aim of this award is to recognise the dairy cattle breeder or exhibitor judged to be a high achiever and exemplary role model within the dairy industry.

Winner of the inaugural John Dennison Lifetime Achievement Award was Mike Miller of Shanael Holsteins, near Evesham in Worcestershire. Winner of the 2014 award was John Gribbon, a key figure in the Holstein success story throughout the UK.

This unique award is given to the nominee judged to have the perfect combination of ability, sportsmanship, integrity and character within the Dairy Industry. The winner will be announced and presented with their award at the Borderway UK Dairy Expo on March 7th 2015.

Glynn Lucas at Harrison and Hetherington said: “This award really is a unique award for UK Dairy Industry. It recognises people who shine and who have put their lifetimes work into the industry, just like John Dennison which it honours.”

Commenting on receiving the award last year John Gribbon who is both noted UK and international figure in the dairy industry and who is in demand to judge at the most prestigious shows said: “It was a real honour to receive an award which is a tribute to a true UK Dairy Legend.
