YFCU attend the National Ploughing Championships

The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) were invited by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) to attend the National Ploughing Championships, Ratheniska, Co Laois, as part of their stand, which took place from Tuesday 22nd September to Thursday 24th September.

YFCU representatives over the three days included; YFCU president, Roberta Simmons, YFCU deputy president, James Speers, YFCU chief executive, Michael Reid and YFCU assistant events manager, Heather Stewart.

YFCU president, Roberta Simmons said: “We would like to thank DARD for inviting us to such an important event in the agriculture calendar.

“It was a great opportunity to meet with leaders in the agricultural industry and was also a fantastic occasion for us to be able to showcase the work of the YFCU at one of Europe’s largest outdoor event.”
