The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster AGM and conference, is due to take place on Friday 17th April and Saturday 18th April at La Mon Hotel, Belfast.

The most eagerly anticipated competition of the Association is the Ulster Farm Club of the Year award.

Sponsored by Power NI, the clubs compete in two heats where the top four clubs are selected before the final quiz and announcement at the AGM.

The quiz is held in front of an audience where they are tested on everything YFCU related.

Last year’s winners Lylehill YFC received the Ulster Farm Club of the Year Cup from Lorine Mitchell from Power NI.

The Club of the Year competition was established in 2012 in memory of former YFCU general secretary Arthur McAllister.

Lorine commented: “Power NI has a long standing relationship with the farming community and we are delighted to be sponsoring the YFCU Club of the Year competition.”
