Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU), in association with platinum sponsor Danske Bank, held a successful social media event, #yfsms14, on Monday 15th December 2014 in Assembly Buildings Conference Centre, Belfast.

#yfsms14 interactively explored the role of social media in farming and rural life and audience members had the opportunity to take part from the floor via the popular Twitter wall.

The keynote speaker was David Taylor, social media expert and author of ‘The Business of doing social’
who presented to a large audience of YFCU members, their friends and families and representatives from a range of businesses and youth organisations.

Anna Mathers from Anna Mathers Photography, Adam Kelly from Leggygowan Farm and John Henning from sponsor Danske Bank also took part and together they all discussed the challenges and opportunities social media provides the agri-sector and rural young people.
