An entry of 140 cull cows at Markethill on Tuesday 28th February continued to sell in an exceptionally strong trade.

Beef bred cows to £175 per 100 kilos for 620k at £1085.

Main demand from £135 to £165 per 100 kilos.

Fleshed Friesian cows sold to a top of £120 per 100 kilos for 776k at £930.

All good Friesian cows from £105 to £116 per 100 kilos.

Second quality from £85 to £100 and the poorest types from £60 to £80 per 100 kilos.
