Dairy stock sold to a top of £1,470 in Markethill on Tuesday 21st March paid for a calved heifer from a Stewartstown farmer.

The same owner received £1,340 and £1,180 for calved heifers.

A Loughgall sold a calved heifer at £1,420.

A Newtownhamilton received £1,380 for a calved heifer.

CULL COWS: 120 cull cows sold in an exceptionally strong trade with cow/heifers to £206 per 100 kilos for 626k at £1,290.

Fleshed cows from £130 to £154 for 712k at £1,100.

Fleshed Friesian cows from £110 to £127 per 100 kilos and up to £1,000 for 880k (113 per 100 kilos).

Second quality friesians from £95 to £105 and the poorest types from £70 to £85 per 100 kilos.
