Markethill: Heifers sell to up to £1235

An entry of 500 cattle at Markethill on Saturday 25th February continued to sell in a very strong demand.

HEIFERS: 210 store heifers included several pens of top quality forward heifers which sold to £225 per 100 kilos for 550k Char at £1235 followed by 220k per 100 kilos for 522k at £1150. All good quality forward heifers sold from £205 to £218 per 100 kilos. Middleweights heifers to £242 per 100 kilos for 470k at £1135. Main demand from £200 to £232 per 100 kilos. Lightweight heifers sold to £251 per 100 kilos for 366k at £920 all top quality lots from £210 to £228 per 100 kilos.
