RUTH Vernon of Animax Ltd is the guest speaker at Finvoy’s Beef and Sheep Group’s meeting this Tuesday night at Ballymoney Rugby Club, 8pm.

Animax Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of veterinary surgeon Ruth Vernon to its staff.

Ruth was appointed in September and will be involved in a number of projects including trial work.

Her appointment cements the company’s commitment to deliver the very best support to its customers.

Animax managing director, Les Porter, said Ruth will accompany the sales representatives around the country to provide technical support and to investigate any veterinary problems.

“We are delighted to have Ruth on board,” said Les.

Animax Ltd is the only bolus-manufacturing company to have its own team of vets. In addition to Les and Ruth the company also employs Peter Watson on a consultancy basis.

Ruth, a former president of the British Cattle Veterinary Association, brings with her a wealth of experience in the animal health sector and a sound understanding of the challenges faced by those operating in this arena.

Speaking about her appointment, Ruth is delighted to have joined a company that has a very clear strategic view for the future of the industry.

“It’s a tremendous honour to join Animax at such an exciting time and to be in a position to deliver technical support to the sales team and farmers.”

Following a veterinary degree at Liverpool University, Ruth has worked in large animal practice and has also held a number of appointments.

More recently she was technical services manager for Eurovet Animal Health Limited, providing technical support for the large and small animal product range, training of the sales force and product management of all the products.

She helped launch several new products last year and recently managed the name change of one of Eurovet’s leading small animal products.
