Judge Packie Donnelly, Ballymena, along with Executive Committee member Leslie Hood stood in the mart with some exceptional Limousin cross breeding.

Mr L Hood mentioned that he was impressed with the fine example of using good Limousin genetics and the right bulls to produce excellent commercial calves right for today’s market.

Packie Donnelly had his work cut out as he judged four great classes of heifer and bull calves split into two age groups with the champion going to A & D McAfee for his 442kg bull and reserve spot going to P J O’Kane for his young heifer weighing in at 380kg and sold later for top price of £1,400.
