New East Antrim base for Glenquicken

GLENQUICKEN Engineering Wind Turbines Limited are local wind turbine engineers having a new operational base now in East Antrim.

Glenquicken are factory distributors and installers of the Canadian company Seaforth Energy who build the class leading AOC 50kW the most robust 50kW turbine on the market.

Having supplied over 80 turbines to many farmers in Scotland and N.I. Mike McCart the MD of Glenquicken Engineering and his team have been working on being able to expand their service to more farmers and businesses in N.I.

“We are experienced engineers not sales people. We want to ensure that the site for a turbine is properly assessed and surveyed to ensure that any investment in a turbine will endeavour to produce as much power as is at all possible from the prevailing wind on that location.

“Glenquicken Engineering aim to respond to a customer turbine breakdown or malfunction as quickly as possible we want to check out a reported issue quickly. Our aim then is to prioritise workloads to ensure that the problem is sorted and that the turbine is up and running as quickly as possible. Our existing customers can vouch for the service we provide and we welcome enquiries from owners whether or not we supplied their turbine or not as it is important that such an investment receives prompt attention and is quickly repaired and operational.”

Further details of turbines being supplied by Glenquicken Engineering are:

The Evoco 10kW wind turbine, ideal for a single phase connection and capable of producing in excess of 33,000kWh per annum resulting in earning of £7,000 per year.

The Seaforth Energy AOC 15/50 is a 50kW machine and is capable of producing 150,000kWh of electricity per year. This is one of the best 50kW turbines available today with a 20 year history operating in all parts of the world and £ for £ is the best value turbine of its size available on the market.

Installed on 18mt or 24mt hydraulic towers it does not need special roads or hard standing areas or large cranes to enable installation.

“We intend to supply the wind turbine needs be it maintenance and repair of an existing wind turbine, or supply, installation and commissioning of a new turbine to farmers, businesses and indeed householders in Scotland and N.I. for many years to come, we believe that we are “big enough to compete but small enough to offer a personal service” to any and all projects we take on.”
