Managing Director of Woodhill Training Services, Bryan McWhirter, said at the launch of AGRISAFE: “Woodhill Training Services has been successfully delivering training courses in health and safety for over 15 years. Agrisafe courses are specifically designed for farmers. We provide experienced tuition from tutors with an agricultural background, a keen and affordable pricing structure, and courses which can be delivered on the farm.”
Under Health and Safety Legislation all farmers have a duty of care to their employees. With the farming sector consistently holding a poor safety record all farmers should be reviewing their health and safety in three ways;
o Is their understanding of safe methods of work all it could be
o Is their plant and machinery maintained to operate safely

o Do family and employees understand how do deal safely with all hazards on the farm
Chairman of the County Antrim Agriculture Show, Robert Dick, stated: “I commend Woodhill Training Services for bringing these new farmer tailored health and safety courses, to the market. As a former farmer himself, I know Bryan McWhirter understands the farmer’s needs and how to deliver cost effective training to any size of operation.”
