With a good entry of pedigree cattle for Balmoral, everyone can look forward to a great show. This year is the Northern Ireland Blonde Cattle Club’s 35th anniversary and the main sponsor, Oddball Engineering, is launching a new competition.

The Oddball Engineering Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the Champion of Champions for the Blonde animal belonging to a Northern Ireland Club member that wins the most Championships at all the local shows throughout the summer.

The club are grateful to Martin and all at Oddball Engineering for this gesture. Martin himself is a great supporter of the club, attending most of the shows throughout the summer to support those exhibiting cattle.

The Northern Ireland Blonde Cattle Club have a very loyal list of sponsors who are always very supportive of the Club’s activities. Members would ask that if you see them at any of the shows, be sure to call in and see them. The list includes: Oddball Engineering, Bank of Ireland, Danske Bank, Gormley Motors, Martin Supplies, Growvite and Swatragh Mart.

The Northern Ireland Blonde Cattle Club will also have a stand at Balmoral, so if you are interested in the Blonde breed, or have any queries, don’t hesitate to stop and chat. The club are running the commercial herds competition open to anyone with 10 or more Blonde bred cross calves born this year. Please enter at the stand.

Best of luck to everyone exhibiting livestock at the local shows throughout the summer, which itself takes a huge effort and is very important for the promotion of the breed.
