Great rewards for Limousin carcase competition

THE closing date for the NI Limousin Cattle Club and Linden Feeds Carcase Competition is drawing near.

There are two classes covering Young Commercial Limousin cross bred animals that must be FQA, with qualifying Steers and Heifers under 30 months with a weight range of 260-380 kilos fetching an additional carcase bonus of 6p on top of current market prices plus the chance to win the prizemoney of either £200,£100 and £50.

There are another two classes open to older cow classes with no age restriction, one for pure bred Limousin registered cows and the other for Limousin cross bred cows. Carcasses in both these classes will also qualify for an additional carcase bonus plus a chance to win the prizemoney of either £200,£100 or £50. Please note, any interested parties MUST book their animals into the Carcase Competition before closing 3.00pm Friday 1st March 2013 by phoning one of Linden Foods’ livestock buyers – either Brian Lynn (07831-296834) or David Lyons (07850-341977) or by contacting Heather (07850603023) club secretary.
