KESH YFC recently held their annual shoe box appeal for Samaritan’s Purse.
Each member was ask to bring in a shoe box and fill it with toys, hygiene items, educational supplies and other items. The club has been supporting Samaritan’s Purse for the last number of years.
Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project, run by the Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse. They have been sending gift filled shoeboxes around the world since 1990, bringing joy and the hope of Jesus Christ into the lives of over 94 million underprivileged children.
Last year, children and adults from across the UK got involved - wrapping, packing and sending nearly 1.1 million shoeboxes full of gifts to disadvantaged children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Giving a shoebox gift is really quite simple. You wrap and pack it, the charity check and send it, and their in-country partners deliver it. It starts in your hands and ends up in theirs.
