CAFRE workshop on the ‘business’ of Anaerobic Digestion

FOLLOWING a successful workshop on the business of Anaerobic Digestion at CAFRE earlier this year, plans are underway for a similar workshop at Greenmount Campus on Friday 14 December.

The workshop is targeted at those who are either investing in Anaerobic Digestion Biogas facilities in Northern Ireland, or actively considering such an investment.

It will be delivered by Charlie Kilpatrick and Nigel Moore from CAFRE at Greenmount Campus who will use their experience to provide typical costs under local conditions. Budget options, feedstock requirement and costs together with the implication on cash flow will be key areas of discussion.

The computer based Anderson Model will be used as part of the workshop to demonstrate the outcome from individual farm situations and consider a number of ‘what if’ options.

The course will be of interest to those taking part in the Supply Chain Development Programme or have expressed an interest through the recent Practical On-Farm Renewable Energy event held at Greenmount Campus. There are still places available for the course, and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

For further details to enrol for this course, please contact Technology Administration on 028 9442 6770.
