BULLOCKS: The 290 store bullocks continued to sell in an excellent trade. Heavy steers to £1330 for 690k (193). A considerable numbers of bullocks sold from £1200 to £1325 each. All top quality lots sold from £200 to £213 for 560k at £1190. Good quality middleweight bullocks sold readily from £200 to £231 for 376k at £870 for a Loughgall farmer. Friesian bullocks sold to £1140 for 750k (152). Good quality friesians from £135 to £159 for 682k at £1085.

An entry of 160 cull cows at Markethill on Tuesday 11th October sold in a firmer demand particularily the poor quality cows. Beef-bred cows sold to £1425 for 1018k Char (140). Main demand from £120 to £149 for 916k at £1360. Cow/heifers to £163 for 614k at £1000. Fleshed Friesian cows to £118 for 758k at £895. Main demand from £95 to £115 per 100 kilos. Second quality Friesians from £80 to £90 per 100 kilos and the poorest quality cows from £55 to £70 per 100 kilos.
