MOY Park has received a staggering total of 16,000 entries for its all-Ireland ‘Fast Lives Need Flavour’ competition, which offered one lucky family the chance to ‘wing it’ to the sunshine state for a luxury holiday in Disney World, Florida.

The competition, which ran on all Moy Park packs, was given an innovative new twist using the very latest smart phone technology – Blippar augmented reality.

Moy Park is the first Northern Irish brand to use this cutting-edge technology, which brought the competition to life and enabled people to enter via their smart phone in the supermarket. By simply holding their smartphone screen over the Moy Park logo on the pack consumers were taken to a virtual reality Moy Park recipe book and interactive link to the Florida competition.

The Bruton family from Co Westmeath won the coveted grand prize of a two week luxury trip to Disney World in Florida. Two lucky runners up also won a state-of-the-art iPad 2.

Paul Burch, Moy Park accounts director Ireland, commented: “We are amazed by the incredible number of entries received for the competition and are delighted to announce the Bruton family as our winners. At Moy Park we recognise that families with busy and demanding lifestyles are eager to spend quality time with one another, whether it is around the dinner table or on holiday, and we are thrilled to have been able to offer this wonderful prize.”

Ecstatic following the news, mum Marion Bruton said: “I was over the moon to find out that we had won the holiday of a lifetime to go on Moy Park’s incredible trip to Florida. We love Moy Park chicken. It’s a real family favourite and chicken is very versatile which means we use it in lots of different dishes.”
