Online entries a success for Winter Fair

John Bamber, RUAS President and Karen Hughes, RUAS Livestock Coordinator encourage exhibitors to use the online entry system for the Royal Ulster Winter Fair this year.

John Bamber, RUAS President and Karen Hughes, RUAS Livestock Coordinator encourage exhibitors to use the online entry system for the Royal Ulster Winter Fair this year.

RUAS organisers have said that online entries are proving very successful at the annual dairy cattle event, the Winter Fair with over 50% of all entries coming through the website in 2011.

“We are delighted to see so many people using the online facility. This makes the event more environmentally friendly and reduces the opportunity for errors as the exhibitors themselves are inputting the information directly,” said Karen Hughes, RUAS Livestock Coordinator.
The schedule for the 2012 Royal Ulster Winter Fair has now been released.  Again this can be accessed online through the website or can be requested by contacting the RUAS office. Close of entry for livestock is Wednesday 28th November at 5pm.

The current provisional judging programme is: 9am Showmanship classes; 10am Dairy Shorthorn, Jersey, Ayrshire and Holstein breed classes and judging of junior championships: 1pm Heifer championships; 3pm breed championships and 4pm supreme championship. The Winter Fair will take place at the King’s Hall Pavilions on December 13th from 9am to 5pm.

Discounted tickets are now available online at www.winterfair.org.uk. For further information please contact the RUAS on 028 9066 5225 or visit the website.
