Texel Club in-lamb ewe sale hits Hilltown

THE NI Texel Sheep Breeders Club will be returning to Hilltown Attested Sales Yard on the evening of Friday, December 7 for their annual in-lamb ewe sale.

Kindly sponsored by Joseph Walls and Son there are 45 lots catalogued and consignments from firmly established and successful breeders throughout the province, resulting in an excellent selection of pedigree in-lamb ewes and gimmers to come under the hammer.

Service sires include: Heathmount Rolex, Kelso Oxygen, Brague Setanta, Fairmount Superman, Leapoges Oscar, Cornerstone Raindancer, Slane Sidney, and Oakclose Parkview Star with new blood from this year’s junior rams including Duvarren Titus and Talisman, Farmhill Terrific and Glenside Topgun to name but a few.

So why not start your Christmas shopping by purchasing your first pedigree Texel or enhance your established pedigree Texel flock with new bloodlines. There is plenty on offer to satisfy all needs.

All lots are sold under the auspices of the Texel Sheep Society and are covered by their conditions of sale. The ewes will be scanned on sale day and only those showing in lamb will be eligible for the ring.

The Joseph Walls and Son pre-sale show classes commence at 5.30pm under the expert eye of Norbert Coyle, followed by the auction at 7.00pm. Catalogues are available from the mart on telephone 028 4063 0287.
