An incredible £25,000 has been donated so far in the UFU 90th Anniversary Africa Appeal.
Cheques are flowing into Union headquarters each day from UFU members and agri-businesses. You can also make a credit card donation by contacting UFU headquarters on 02890 370222.
UFU Fundraising Chairman Gary McHenry said the Appeal was going very well. "It's only five weeks since we launched the Appeal and we have already raised £25,000. This is a very successful start to our campaign. This money will help us to build a school in Kyenkando, South West Uganda, where the children are currently being taught in a mud hut with no pens or pencils. I want to thank everyone who has donated so far; their generosity is greatly appreciated. I would also ask everyone else who still has a campaign leaflet to please send in a donation to Union Headquarters for this very worthy cause".
The UFU has also produced a DVD providing full details on our school building project in Kyenkando. Copies of the DVD are available from Union Headquarters. You can also watch the Africa Appeal DVD on the UFU website – www.ufuni.org – just click on the icon on the UFU home page.
