With the cost of fuel now hitting family expenses, the UFU continues to promote its Maxol Fuel card Scheme.
The aim of the UFU Maxol Fuel Card scheme is to reduce your petrol and diesel costs and reduce your administration.
Maxol currently offer Fuel Cards to the business community enabling them to purchase petrol or diesel from Maxol Filling stations.
The card offers business users the ability to efficiently manage fuel expenditure with the following benefits:
o Over 300 sites throughout NI and ROI;
o Conveniently-located refueling sites;
o Competitively priced fuel;
o PIN code verification on all cards;
o Guaranteed Fuel Quality;
o Enhanced driver security
o Internet access allows a regular analysis of fuel transactions .
o Cards can be linked to the driver's name and/or vehicle registration.
o Purchase restrictions are also available for more control.
Maxol have agreed to offer a Fuel Card to Ulster Farmers' Union members who meet the following criteria:
1. Can provide 3 business references, one of which could be provided by NFU Mutual agents.
2. Be VAT registered.
3. Complete a Direct Debit mandate. This will offer up to 45 days credit.
How the Scheme operates:
a) Complete an application form with the direct debit mandate and return it to Maxol.
b) Maxol will process your application and post out your cards after acceptance. This should take approximately two weeks.
c) When you purchase fuel at any Maxol filling station you will present your card rather than make payment. Your purchase will be recorded against the business/vehicle/person.
d) The price you pay will NOT relate to the 'pump' price but a special price for everyone purchasing fuel under the UFU Group Scheme. This price will change from time to time to reflect changes in world oil prices and the level of discount available.
The more fuel that is purchased under the UFU Group Scheme, the greater the discount per litre will be for everyone.
e) Each month you will receive full details of all your purchases on management reports including the amount of VAT paid on an official VAT invoice. Payment will be Direct Debit as this is necessary to keep administration costs as low as possible.
If you are interested in obtaining more information and an application form please ring either your local Group Office or UFU Headquarters on 028 9037 0222.
