Group focus: East Tyrone

The Tyrone Group is currently going through a time of change.
Bill Knox, a very conscientious group secretary with the group for the past 25 years retired on the 31 May 2008. We would like to thank Bill for his hard work and dedication to the group and wish him all the best for the future.
We look forward to Denise Kelso, previously a senior group secretary based in Strabane, joining the team in August. We also congratulate Denise and Thomas on the birth of their second son Isaac.
Patrick O'Kane won a soil testing kit, Colin and Giles won a trip for two to the Highland show and Harry Irwin won the fertiliser.
The Group has returned from an enjoyable trip to Yorkshire.
They visited The Great Yorkshire Show, The Hilltop farm in Cumbria were milk from their 180 dairy cow herd is used to produce cheese and yoghurt under their own brand 'Cumberland Dairies'. They also visited Bryman dairy farm, deep in the Yorkshire Dales. All the milk from their 110 Guernsey herd is used to produce ice cream.
The trip concluded with a tour of the Yorkshire Dales.
