Fermanagh group attends county show
Refreshments were provided and members got a chance to speak to UFU President, Barclay Bell.
Two competitions took place on the day. Congratulations go to Wendy Woods, Kesh, who won a voucher for the Tullana on the Green restaurant, Lisnarick. Also congratulations to Ayden Batte, Enniskillen who won a ToyTown voucher in the ‘guess the name of the goat’ competition.

Thanks to Brian & Linda Cowan for the loan of the goat and Leam Agri, Tempo for the use of their gates.
Members from the group committees met recently and are well underway with preparations for the winter programme.
The group is looking forward to the study tour to Germany on 25th–28th September; visiting beef and dairy farms. They will also enjoy a tour of the John Deere factory and a cruise on the Rhine.
The first meeting will be on October 6th at 8pm in the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen. Full details will be revealed closer to the time.

The Fermanagh County Dinner Dance will be held in the Killyhevlin Hotel on Friday 18th November at 8pm. Contact the Enniskillen office for tickets.
Another important date to remember is Thursday 1st December at 8pm, Killyhevlin. Aileen Lawson, UFU Policy Officer, will discuss nitrates and ensuring compliance. She will also give an update on the Farm Business Investment Scheme.
Members look forward to the New Year in January to the President’s Area Meeting, details of which will follow.
South West Fermanagh AGM will be held on Thursday 2nd February 2017 at Tullymill, Florencecourt. UFU vice–president Ivor Ferguson will also be in attendance.
