Fermanagh hosts annual dinner

The Fermanagh UFU annual dinner dance took place on Friday evening in the Killyhevlin hotel, Enniskillen. The event attracted over 125 members and guests.

Mr Ian Marshall, UFU president, was the guest speaker who was accompanied by his wife.

Also, the chairmen and their wives were represented from each county.

Fermanagh County Chairman Mr James Murphy would like to thank all the businesses who sponsored and gave prizes for the draw and auction.

All proceedings from the auction this year is going to Rural Support charity.

The group would congratulate the silage winners in Fermanagh, who are Mr Irwin Little (dairy section) and Mr Emmett McNulty (beef section). Their entries will now be entered into the UFU national silage competition. All in the group wish them every success.

Everyone is looking forward to a very informative meeting with Mr Phelim O’Neill, CEO of Northern Ireland Meat Export Association, who will speak to the members on markets for NI beef. All members are welcome. This will take place in the Killyhevlin on Thursday 4th December at 8pm.

The Presidents Area Meeting will take place on Monday 12th January at 8pm in the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen.

UFU president Ian Marshall and the rest of the leadership team will outline the latest developments with CAP implementation and other current farming issues.
