The North Down 2015 Winter Programme is underway.

This Tuesday evening the Topic is “Agriculture in Kenya”. Speaker for the evening is Stephen Cowan. Stephen has been living in Kenya and currently is a missionary of the Presbyterian Church.

This promises to be a good evening and we encourage as many members and their family to attend.

Our day trip this year will be held on Tuesday 1st March 2016 and will consist of a tour of Mash Direct in Comber, lunch at Harrison’s of Greyabbey then a visit to Corrie Meats and Drumhilla Farm, Newtownards. Keep the date in your diary.

On Tuesday 27th October 2015 NFU Mutual ran a VQ Level 2 Award in Safe Working in Agricultural & Production Horticulture in the Ivanhoe Hotel, Carryduff.

Following on from this we will also be running a QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work. This will take place on 17th November 2015 and will also be held in the Ivanhoe Hotel.

The course fee is £100 plus VAT.

We would encourage farmers and their family members to seriously consider attending this course.

There are limited spaces available, anyone looking to go on the course or be considered for future courses please contact the office on Monday on 028 97510196.

We look forward to seeing as many members as possible at our meetings during our Winter Programme.
