The Ulster Farmers’ Union is calling on the remaining farm businesses selected at random to complete and return the voluntary Farm Safety Partnership Survey.
The questionnaire has been developed to better inform the Partnership about what is happening on farms and the results will be used to support its work going forward so that farmers stay as safe as possible.
UFU president Ian Marshall said: “To date, over 2000 forms have been returned which is a good start but we really need to hear from the remaining farm businesses.
“Making progress on this difficult issue depends, in part, on knowing more about the situation on the ground, including the type and number of accidents that are occurring and it would be of huge benefit to the partnership to obtain the accurate and up-to-date information needed.”
The UFU also want to assure those who complete the survey that the information collected will be held in strict confidence and only used for analysis and statistical purposes.
