For full details and to book a place contact the group office. Trips to the ploughing match are always very busy so it is advised to make contact as soon as possible.

Mid Down group would also like to welcome the latest addition to its staff.

In Mid July Victoria Bell joined the team. Victoria has been working in the Omagh office for several years but had made the decision to relocate back near her family. The group are very pleased to have her on board and are sure that the members will soon get to know her.

With the number of on farm accidents still at a high level on Northern Ireland farms, the Mid Down Group managers decided to run a First Aid one-day course and a Risk Management one-day course.

Both these courses will be in Edengrove Halls and since numbers are limited on each course book early.

Members are encouraged to take a look around their farms and be vigilant about working practices, address anything that could potentially prevent an accident and ensure they are taking all the precautions possible.

Group staff were delighted to participate in the ‘Wellies to Work’ day in support of Rural Support.

During the last winter programme Rural Support came along with a short presentation on how common depression is within the farming industry.
