UFU President Barclay Bell and Chief Executive Wesley Aston were in Brussels last week attending the COPA Praesidium meeting.

While in Brussels, the UK farming union officeholders met to discuss Labour and Agricultural policy, AHDB planned reports and progress on Brexit.

UFU President Barclay Bell, along with the other UK Union Farming Presidents, also met with Jim Higgiston, the Minister Counselor for Agriculture U.S. Mission to the European Union with discussions focusing on Brexit, the US political situation and TTIP. The UFU also met with Sir Ivan Rogers, UK Permanent Representative at UK Government Offices to get an update on Brexit and took the opportunity to raise farmer concerns as the UK plans its exit from the EU.
