In a bid to raise awareness participants will upload selfies of themselves wearing their wellington boots to work, in solidarity with the charity. Using the hashtag #WelliesToWork they will post these selfies to the Rural Support Twitter page. The charity aims to launch a viral Twitter campaign to raise the profile of Rural Support. By uploading a selfie there will also be a chance to win a prize courtesy of Simple Power.

Wesley Aston, UFU Chief Executive has expressed his support for the campaign: “The Union would encourage members to participate in the ‘Wellies to Work’ initiative on Friday 3rd June 2016. This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the vital services that Rural Support provide. With ever increasing pressures being placed on the farming community the continued provision of these support services is vital. For this reason I will undoubtedly be wearing my wellies and would encourage others to do so as well.”
