A taste of life with Curragh YFC

AS the members of Curragh YFC gathered together in Curragh Orange Hall, they knew what was ahead of them. In the middle of the hall lay two sumo suits and mats.

The delight spread across the younger members faces as they knew what was happening next.

As the first few members slipped on the suits and waddled into the middle of the mats, it wasn’t long before they were running head first into each other. Laughter filled the air as everyone took turns in the sumo suits.

People were flying across the room and banging into each other. The energy levels slowly drained as the night went on until everyone was exhausted.

Meanwhile a group of members were heading to Ballymoney High School, with their cars bursting with flowers and foliage for this years floral art competition.

At the start of the hour, all was nice and calm but as the time ticked on things became much more frantic and as the scissors snipped the stems of the flowers flew through the air.

The club will be holding their annual table quiz on November 7 at Curragh Orange Hall, beginning at 8pm, £3 per person and questions will be written by Sam Crockett.

To help the club to celebrate the club’s 70th year it would be much appreciated if any past members who have pictures of the club from previous years could contact the club leader, Kyle on 07547644956.

Also the club will be holding a 70th dinner dance on March 9, 2013 at the Lodge Hotel. Music will be by Remo. To book tickets call William on 07821062030.
