Donaghadee YFC gain top marks at NI Quiz

Over 160 YFCU members took part in the popular YFCU NI Quiz sponsored by Ulster Bank on Friday, March 3, at Magherafelt High School.

Donaghadee YFC were crowned the winners of the quiz which consisted of ten rounds of ten questions and included a picture and music round.

The North Down club received the top prize of £300 for their club. Their team was made up of Kelsie Crawford, Philip Donaldson, Jane Kilpatrick and Stuart Rea.

Second place went to Glarryford YFC which was made up of Ben King, Cathy Reid, Mark McAuley and Lydia Simpson. They were awarded £200 for their club.

In third place, Holestone YFC who received £100 prize money for their club was made up of Dan McAuley, Amy McKillen, Amber Allen and Gareth Cummings.

The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster would like to take this opportunity to thank Martin Convery, business development manager, from sponsor Ulster Bank for attending and supporting the quiz, Magherafelt High School who provided the superb venue, YFCU president Roberta Simmons for her services as quiz master on the night, William Wilson, Harry Crosby, Martyn Blair and Clarence Calderwood for setting the testing questions and everyone who helped with the stewarding and marking on the night.
