Dungiven YFC have had a busy start to the summer

Dungiven Young Farmers' Club have had a busy start to the summer taking part in various YFCU events with a great deal of fun and success.

At the Co Londonderry beef and sheep stock judging heats the following members gained places for the Northern Ireland YFCU finals.

They were as followed: In beef judging - 14-16 age group Lauren McFarlane, first, and Claire Young, fourth 4th.

16-18 Caitlin Smyth, second, Megan Patterson, third, and Chloe Miller, fourth.

18-21 Matthew Gault, third and 21-25 Sam Patterson, fourth.

In the sheep judging -14-16 age group, Lauren McFarlane, first. 18-21 Matthew Gault, third, and 21-25 Sam Patterson, third.

Well done to all Dungiven YFC members who competed in the Northern Ireland silage assessment and stock judging finals held at AFBI Hillsborough.

Congratulations must go to the following members who were placed.

Silage assessment 14-16 age group, Lauren McFarlane, sixth.

Dairy stock judging 16-18 age group, Robert Mullan, sixth and 21-25, James Purcell, fifth and Sam Patterson, 
sixth.
