It's all go at Glarryford

Glarryford YFC girls have started off the YFCU summer activities by attending the County Antrim and County Down heats for the ladies football on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Three teams attended this event with success, with one senior and one junior team making it to the finals at Balmoral Show.

Next on the agenda was the YFCU Drama Dinner on May 6, which saw Glarryford’s three act play ‘Anyone Could Rob a Bank’ reap the awards. Adam McAuley received a merit for acting, Cathy Knowles gained best actress, John McIlrath gained best actor, Ken Rock and Alison Caldwell were named Best Producers and overall Glarryford won the best three act play. This was a very successful night for the club and thanks goes to the dedicated producers and cast members.

Next up was Balmoral Show. Glarryford participated in a range of activities at the show to include YFCU Floral Art Finals, Ladies football finals and the Tug of War competition. Congratulations goes to Suzanne Reid who gained second in the 14-16 age group in the floral art.

Glarryford YFC Annual Sports Night will be held on June 17 in the field behind Patton’s Pub, Cloughmills at 7.30pm. This is a fun-filled night with an immense number of activities suited to all ages including entertainment and races for primary school children.
