The competition will take place at the beginning of August in Co Tipperary and will most definitely be a weekend to remember for the “Pinta Princess” herself.

The proud Garvagh YFC member made her first interview for Co Londonderry’s Pinta Princess 2016 with no previous experience and ended up coming out on top.

The competition sees as many as 32 young women travel across Ireland to compete to be crowned the prestigious Miss Macra.

Since 1972 the competition has been described as “the ultimate personality competition”.

Each competitor traditionally stays with a host family and enrich the quality of their experience all on top of the jam packed schedule – it’s sure to be a brilliant weekend.

Laura is eighteen years old and currently taking a break from life as a law and politics student. As a relatively new member to YFCU, Laura is still in shock but excited for the experience and challenges it will bring.

The club would like to wish Laura all the best as Pinta Princess for County Londonderry and can’t wait to hear the results.
