LISBELLAW YFC kicked off their winter programme with their first meeting being held in Belle Isle Orange Hall on Tuesday, September 11.

Club leader Johnny O’Malley and club secretary Laura Mayers welcomed all new and old faces to the club with a total of 12 new members in attendance.

The night started off with several icebreaker games where everyone got a chance to meet and get to know each other taking part in games such as ‘fluffy bunny’ and ‘honey do you love me’.

The final game of the evening was dodge ball which proved to be very popular especially with some of the new members.

Club member Jamie Johnston made sure no one went home hungry as he rounded off the evening with a barbecue for everyone.

The club’s second meeting was held on Tuesday, September 25 in the hall.

Jane Kilpatrick – YFCU membership development officer travelled a long distance to be with Lisbellaw YFC for the night.

Jane gave a useful and informative presentation all about the YFCU and the many benefits members can gain through the organisation.

She encouraged members to participate in competitions as well as all the other social activities the YFCU has to offer.

The night was rounded off with a few games and club leader Johnny thanked Jane for coming along. The club showed their appreciation by presenting her with a small gift.

Lisbellaw’s next meeting will take the form of interclub football and will be held out of the hall on Tuesday, October 9.

If there is anyone interested in joining the club are still welcome to come along. If you would like more information or details of future meetings please contact club leader Johnny on 07845031653 or club secretary Laura on 07707116082.
