Local Young Farmers give a helping hand at Open Farm Weekend
At the recent Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend, Young Farmers from City of Derry and Dungiven YFC came together to give a helping hand at Cochrane's Potato Farm which is run by Ronnie and Janet Cochrane near Limavady.
Visitors who arrived at the Farm saw what goes on behind the scenes and how the potato industry operates, also families where shown a display of various machines which are used in potato growing and a cookery demonstration of varied potato dishes.
Thanks goes to the members who helped out by stewarding, serving refreshments, providing art and crafts and other various activities such as a potato and spoon race and sack race for both young and old.
A funfilled day was had by all.
