Season of success at Moneyrea YFC

MONEYREA Young Farmers’ Club have continued their busy winter programme with a further two meetings.

The first meeting took the form of a visit from Holestone Young Farmers’ Club.

After a sat-nav error, Holestone YFC visited Moneyrea to enjoy a night of fun and games including a quick fire quiz and the bubblegum game.

Moneyrea YFC look forward to their return visit to Holestone YFC in the new year.

The second meeting took the form of a trip to Ozone, Laser Quest in Belfast. Members were split into three teams to compete in a laser style conquest.

Well done to Chris Simpson who achieved the highest score.

The club has recently celebrated success at the annual Co Down dinner with Joy Dorman receiving the Co Down Home Management Cup and Beth Gregg receiving the Impromtu Public Speaking Cup for Co Down.

The following Moneyrea members also deserve recognition for their achievements in the home management club heats allowing them to progress to the Co Down heats of the competition: Caroline McDowell, Elizabeth Scott, Anna McDowell, Shannon Tann, Vicki Atkinson, Joy Dorman, Linzi Stewart and Robert Johnston. Well done to all involved.
