AFTER last year's success Ards YFC recently held another Travelling Supper.
Over 30 members of Newtownards YFC got stuck into the club's annual Progressive Dinner.
Last year the club hosted a banquet in the hall for which members each brought something.
However, this year, due to many members recently passing their dri
ving tests the decision was made that the progressive dinner should take its full form; a meal where each course is eaten at a different location.
Many thanks goes on behalf of the club to members Rachel and Heather Martin; Ashley and Hannah Wright; and Andrew and Jane Patton and all their families for providing a welcome and sumptuous stop for each course.
After meeting at the club hall, 30 members travelled in six cars to the Martin household, for some tasty starters and appetisers, also assisted by Michael Orr and David Doherty. Members played a party game incorporating a cardboard box and an estranged limbo prior to eating as an icebreaker.
The Wright household (home of our 2009 Homemaker finalist), then welcomed members for their delicious main courses. Francis Henry and also assisted Ashley and Hannah bringing a delectable lasagne.
The club then travelled the short distance to the Patton home, with food also provided by Daniel and Matthew Patton for what could only be described a sweet lover's heaven.
Thanks also goes to Jennifer McKee and Hannah Robinson for proving liquid refreshments for each course.
The Progressive Dinner was a meeting enjoyed by all at Ards YFC and the club looks forward to hosting another one in similar format.
