OVER the months of September and October the Co Tyrone Young Farmers have been very busy.
Not only have each of the nine clubs successfully reopened for the new season; they have also been very busy supporting the County, as the competitions have begun.
The swimming gala held at the end of September proved to be a chance for the more at
hletic members to show off.
With clubs Cappagh, Derg Valley, Newtonstewart and Seskinore all supporting the event. Members from all clubs all achieved merits in their swims, putting in impressive performances.
The Floral Art Competition proved to be very popular this year, with members showcasing their talents and impressive arrangements. This year we were excited to see boys show off their talents too.
In the senior section the results were as follows; 1st, Rachel Gibson - Trillick, 96, 2nd, Ruth Balckburn, Seskinore, 93, 3rd, Emma Hughes, Trillick, 90.
In the junior section; 1st, Chloe Ewing, Seskinore, 91, 2nd, Chloe Badger, Cookstown, 83 and 3rd, Shannen Vance, Trillick, 80.
The top two in each section automatically get through to the Northern Ireland finals and represent Tyrone. The club would like to send good luck wishes to these members and are positive they will do very well.
The county would like to also thank members for supporting YFCU and helping get the 2009/2010 season off to such an enthusiastic and positive start
