YFCU held their annual 'John Bradley Challenge' at Garvagh High School on Friday evening, 27th July.

This year YFCU members were challenged to participate in an "It's a Knock Out" style competition. Nineteen teams from YFC's throughout Northern Ireland took part in the event. Each team consisted of five members and participants had to race against each other in heats of five with the team with the fastest times and most water collected winning a place in the final.
The first round of the competition began with a brainteaser section followed by an assault course where all the teams had to battle it out while overcoming various hazards such as eggs and water!
The top four teams, Lisnamurrican, Glarryford, City of Derry and Finvoy, successfully survived the first round "knock out" and made it through to the final. After an exciting final, Lisamurrican were crowned the John Bradley Challenge 2008. The winning team consisted of Louise Bonnar, David Millar, Cara Johnston, Melissa Millar and Loraine Mitchell.
After the competition, members from the Junior Exchange Team 2008 provided a barbeque with all proceeds raised going towards their forthcoming exchange to Poland.
