Coleraine members stage parents' night

Coleraine Young Farmers' Club recently held their annual parents' night at Portrush Town Hall.
The special guests for the evening were the YFCU president Mr Adrian Cooper and his wife Rosemary, while the compere for the evening was the club's Mark Smyth.
Almost 200 friends and family members attended to recognise the club's tremendous succe
ss over the past year.
Mrs Cooper presented many of the prizes won by members throughout the past year and the club cups, who were dominated by Kathryn and Joanne Smyth.
The audience were entertained throughout the evening with a variety of performances. The Axe Men kicked off the evening, with audience participation from Adrian Cooper and some of the past members. Following this some of the younger club members entertained the audience with a short play and some musical and poetry recitals.
The night concluded with the clubs' successful Arts Festival performance – They Lived Under Water. A good evening was had by all, special thanks to all those involved in making the night so enjoyable.
Club cups presented on the night included: the J R Jackson Cup for Most Active Member which was won by Kathryn Smyth, the Victor Ramsey Cup for CEO Participation which was won by Joanne Smyth, the Lynn Cup for Stockjudging was won by Kathryn Smyth, with the McNaugher Cup for Junior Endeavour awarded to Joanne Smyth, the Henry Cup for Girls Competitions was also presented to Joanne Smyth, while the William King Cup for Craft was presented to Kathryn Smyth, the Valerie Cochrane Cup for Under 16 Craft was presented to Joanne Smyth and the Stevenson Cup for the Most Improved Member was presented to Mark Blair.
